Congratulations to Garth Davis for his nomination as best commercial director of 2009 for the Directors Guild of America Awards. This year Garth joins the ranks of such past DGAA vets as Tom Kuntz and Craig Gillespie with additional competition from the esteemed Joaquin Baca-Asay and Chris Palmer among the other nominees.
The announcement comes on the heels of a banner year for Garth, having gained notoriety in particular for his work on a US Cellular campaign led off by the spot "Shadow Puppets", in which two gigantic amourous shadow bunnies frolic across a nightime cityscape in pursuit of each other. View the spot in our Directors section and check out our Press area for the Boards article that broke the news.
Fingers crossed for Garth as the winner will be announced at a ceremony in LA at the end of the month.
