David is the son of a Welsh preacher man. More talented than Welsh heroes Postman Pat, Christian Bale and Bonnie Tyler put together, he would have cleaned up in Gwent’s Got Talent, but unfortunately he was born in Wembley so had to find another path to fame and fortune.
David’s interest in film began with Star Wars – which he watched with authentic commentary round at his neighbour house. His neighbour actually was Darth Vader. Darth had a storm trooper in his kitchen who must have served penne alla arrabiata for tea.
Never mind the 1st class degree in graphic arts and film at Leeds… David can make the perfect Grey Goose Gimlet. To make ends meet he trained as cocktail mixologist, worked the bar at a private members club and instantly became very attractive to women.
His first job in the industry was as a producer at Flextech where he won two world promax gold’s and began to think he should direct. Fortunately he was rather good at it and spent 3 years making lots of promo’s before winning 5 Kinsale awards with his first ad for Anti Litter.
David joined Rogue Films in 2010 and has since an eclectic mix of commercials including Budweiser, Johnnie Walker and Mad Dogs for Sky.
