Sam Jones (DP)

Award-winning photographer and rising director Sam Jones has helmed spots for such brands as Ad Council, DirectTV and Discover, to name a few. As a photojournalist, Jones has accrued an esteemed reputation as a highly sought after celebrity photographer. Jones’ classic portraits of such personalities as Clooney, DeNiro, Scorsese, Nicholson, Cruise, Hanks, and Elle McPherson, for Rolling Stone, Vanity Fair and Time have been published by Harper Collins, in his recent book, The Here and Now: The Photographs of Sam Jones. Prior, Sam’s appreciation for music led him to direct the documentary, I’m Trying to Break Your Heart, which chronicles the recording of Wilco’s fourth album.

Jones initiated his exceptional career during an early photojournalist position with Associated Press. It was during his early years growing up in Southern California, however, that he first developed a fascination with photography.
