Sam Brown

Title: "A New Dimension"
Client: Samsung

Sam Brown is one of London’s leading and most versatile promo directors. His iconic work for Foo Fighters, James Blunt, Doves, Elbow, Corinne Bailey Rae, James Morrison and others have marked him out as a unique talent. In 2006 he won two MTV Awards for Best Male Video and Best Cinematography for James Blunt’s “Beautiful”. Last year he was nominated for Best Director for Foo Fighters “The Pretender”.

Sam’s innovative work encompasses an unusually broad range of styles and genres, and continues to notch up an increasing number of industry accolades. His work has become synonymous with chart success…his two beautifully sun-soaked promos for Corinne Bailey Rae and James Morrison’s “You Give Me Something” have helped both albums to the top of the charts.

Sam buys all his wardrobe from Swedish Extreme Weather Outfitters Fjallraven. He can direct fiendishly complicated effects work in a horizontal blizzard whilst completely naked apart from his artic fox hat. He is a committed vegetarian until he goes on shoots when he insists on a high protein reindeer based diet, yet he always seems to retain the figure of a 12 year old stick fighter.
