Erick Ifergan

Title: "Rain"
Client: ATT

A dreamy and imaginative child, Erick Ifergan was ten years old when the course of his life was to dramatically change. While visiting family members in a modest apartment on the outskirts of Paris, he was daydreaming in the corridor when his aunt strolled out of the bathroom, totally naked. With rolls of fat and folds of cellulite, she struck a Boteccelli pose and laughed, "Erick! Take my picture!" His fate was sealed.

At fifteen years old, Erick decided to quit school in order to begin his career as a photographer, a move that surely (he thought) would lead him into filmmaking. He did in fact continue his studies and graduated with a BA in Modern French Literature before fully dedicating himself to his passion.

Born in Morocco and raised in France, Ifergan is now one of the most influential and recognized filmmakers in the world. Erick received numerous international awards and recognition for is work. He started by creating music videos and commercials before deciding to dedicate his talent to making art films. Bringing the culmination of his artistic knowledge to each endeavor, Erick creates unique combination of mundane reality and eccentric dream imagery that has inspired filmmakers the world over.

Ifergan's films are deep, beautiful and always original. He can play with humor, poetry, action and emotions in a very unique way. He writes, directs and produces his own work through his Los Angeles based production company Serial Dreamer. His most recent production being "Johnny 316" which was shot on Hollywood blvd and starred Vincent Gallo. Erick is currently working in development of several new feature length projects and a book of photographs called American Nights.
